3M Reflectivity Levels
In daylight, the three sheeting grades look nearly identical. At night, under headlights, the difference is dramatic. The photo above shows engineer grade on the left, high intensity prismatic in the center, and diamond grade on the right.
Which grade you need depends on the sign and where it's going:
Engineer Grade Prismatic (ASTM Type I)
Our lowest-cost option. Best for parking lots, private property, and low-speed areas.
High Intensity Prismatic (ASTM Type IV)
The most common choice for public roadway signs, and a significant step up in nighttime brightness.
Diamond Grade DG³ (ASTM Type XI)
The brightest sheeting 3M makes. Typically specified for high-speed roads, overhead and guide signs, and high-risk intersections.
If your sign is going on a public right-of-way, check your agency's specification — most call out an ASTM type or a 3M series number directly.

In-Ground Stand for Roll-Up Signs is a step-stake stand that pushes into the ground to display 36" and 48" roll-up signs in temporary work zones. A cross piece at the base lets one worker foot-press it into place without tools.

The In-Ground Stand for Roll-Up Signs is an economical step-stake support for 36" and 48" roll-up signs used in temporary traffic control, maintenance, utility, and construction work. It pushes directly into the ground rather than resting on a base, which keeps the footprint small on shoulders, medians, and unpaved areas.
The stand is built from corrosion-resistant materials and uses steel spring clips to hold the sign face securely in wind and passing traffic. A cross piece at the bottom lets a worker drive the stake into the ground by foot, so a single crew member can set it without tools.
This stand is MASH tested. MASH is the AASHTO crash-test standard for roadside safety hardware, including temporary work-zone devices, and many agencies require MASH-tested devices on their projects. Temporary traffic control is addressed in Part 6 of the MUTCD 11th Edition; sign and stand use should follow the traffic-control plan, site conditions, and the authority responsible for the work.
